Growing mustard with Fluoridated water............
We have tried one initial experiment in growing mustard seeds using Stroud water, Kidderminster water (fluoridated) and local spring water. We attempted to keep all other conditions the same .
The results were as follows:-
The root system of the mustard grown with the fluoridated water was the least developed after about ten days. The mustard seeds watered with spring water grew the fastest (tallest) followed by the fluoridated water and lastly the Stroud tap water.
Please get in touch with us if you would like to try further experimentation with fluoridated water.

The Fraud Act 2007
Who said this, (in one form or another)?
"Fluoridation (the addition of poisonous waste acid chemical to the water supply) is probably the greatest scientific fraud ever perpetrated upon the population in the whole of the 20th century."
Answer : Dr Robert Carton PhD Former scientist with the US Environmental Protection Agency. Dr Andreas Schuld, Scientist and Toxicologist; leader of Parents of Fluoride Poisoned Children. Prof. Albert Schatz; Nobel Prizewinner who discovered Streptomycin to treat Tuberculosis.
So, with the passing of the Fraud Act 2007, who will now be pinpointed (and prosecuted) for being held responsible for fluoridating 9 per cent of the population of Britain and Ireland since the mid 60s? Just as importantly, who is conniving under the cover of professional medical concern to get fluoridation extended to everyone?
Worth a thought, don't you think?

Latest on Fluoride Research
By Philip Booth, Secretary of the Safe Water campaign for Avon, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
Whilst health authorities in Hampshire/IoW continue their moves towards adding fluoride to our water, scientists worldwide have been demonstrating how dangerous this is.The US National Research Council (NRC) in March 2006 published an extremely damaging report on fluoride in water. Dr Hardy Limeback, who was on the NRC Panel said, "In my opinion, the evidence that fluoridation is more harmful than beneficial is now overwhelming and policy makers who avoid thoroughly reviewing recent data before introducing new fluoridation schemes do so at risk of future litigation." And Dr Paul Connett says: “The crucial message of this report is that the highest scientific authority in the US has determined that low levels of fluoride in drinking water may have serious adverse health effects."In April 2006 a Harvard Study linking fluoridation with a 5-fold increased risk of osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in boys was published in the peer-reviewed journal Cancer, Causes & Control. This, together with studies with similar findings, means the link is now clear between fluoride and cancer. In November 2006, the American Dental Association (ADA) issued an alert advising that fluoridated water should NOT be used to prepare infant formulas for the first year of a child's life. This has already resulted in several water districts stopping fluoridation and will probably lead to many more areas discontinuing the practice. Those who still fluoridate are now expected to face multi-million dollar lawsuits in the USA for causing illness, disability and even deaths. See item below to stop Walmart selling Fluoride "Nursery Water" to Infants. In December The Lancet in a review of Developmental Neurotoxity of Industrial Chemicals calls for further in-depth studies.Countries worldwide, including Europe, have banned fluoridation on medical and scientific grounds. When will our local health and water authorities wake up to the dangers of fluoride in water and stop this ridiculous move to pollute our water with this dangerous toxin?

Toxic Transport On Our Roads - Latest action
James Christian, Safe Water Campaign member writes:
Hundreds of tons of the two most toxic and corrosive acids known, hydrogen fluoride and hexafluorosilicic acid, are being transported on our roads through densely populated areas and villages throughout England:. The risks are huge.
In our efforts to raise awarenss about the dangers of water fluoridation we have written to all Councils and Emergency Services in the area (60 letters in all) to find out what plans they have in the event of an accident.
If there were to be a road accident involving a hexafluorosilicic acid spill, hospitals and emergency crews (fire officers) may be ill prepared to cope with the situation. For example if a major roadway accident happened in a small village, much of the village may have to be razed and carried off to a hazardous waste landfill, and the top two feet of soil around the spill would also have to be carted off to a hazardous waste landfill.
There is also the potential risk of serious well water contamination.
When, for example, the acid comes in contact with tarmac the volatile reaction creates highly toxic and corrosive hydrogen fluoride gas. The vapours emitted from the reaction can affect people several miles down wind from the actual spill - the acid formed from the vapours will also etch glass, so you can imagine what they can do to the throat, mucus membranes and lungs. The airborne hydrogen fluoride will not only burn the skin, but it will be absorbed into the body also, causing potentially lethal fluoride poisoning.
The Hexafluorosilic acid used for artificial water fluoridation is a waste product of the fertiliser industry, obtained by breaking down phosphate rock which has such a high uranium content that the nuclear industry in the US used it as a source for nuclear fuel! The National Pure Water
Association (NPWA) has written confirmation from the U.S. Public Health Service (1998) regarding the presence of ‘radionuclides’ in hexafluorosilic acid used in the water fluoridation plants. There is evidence that a concentration of one billionth of hydrogen fluoride can and has devastated large areas of vegetation.
Two serious incidents
In our area at Avonmouth in 2001 a tank of hexafluorosilic acid was damaged. On discovery the port was shut down for 30 hours. Details obtained by the NPWA show this incident was a hairs breadth away from being a major life-taking catastrophe and that crews were illprepared and made mistakes that could have been catastrophic.
In Florida, USA, 1994 there was an accident involving a truck carrying hexafluorosilic acid. 4,500 gallons spilled onto the public highway. 87 people including police and other Emergency workers had to be hospitalised for treatment for up to 6 weeks. 300 tons of fluoride contaminated dirt needed to be removed.
The NPWA has produced a a useful Powerpoint presentation on the risks. We woulds like to get this to all the Emergency Services in our area. Please join or make a donation to help us make this possible. You can also read more about this issue under ‘Accidents Happen’ and

Letter to the Editor: My Dad was responsible!
By John Rhodes, Painswick, Gloucestershire writes:
“Yes it was my dad who dreamt up the Fluoridation Programme in the early '60's some 45 years ago. Mum had told me with pride how dad brought water fluoridation to the households of the North of England. In my early twenties I read the reports dad had made on Fluoridation and other projects when in his job as Under-Secretary of Health for the North of England. No doubt someone had been influencing him about the virtues of introducing industrial waste into our drinking water and consequently food supplies, streams & rivers. But the details sadly have been lost. Now that his widows son and his sons' son may possibly drink fluoridated water it is time to break the circle and turn the tables.
Cecil Rhodes (not of Africa fame) died of cancer in 1964 without knowing of the side effects of fluoridation or how dangerous the stuff really is. Maybe as his son I can help shed light on how bad the idea is, & break the cycle.”

Where do the Politicians stand?
GREEN PARTY:
Martin Whiteside, Parliamentary candidate for Stroud, said:”The Green party is the only party totally opposed to water fluoridation. I have personally signed a ‘Yellow card’ saying I will deduct the cost of a water filter (estimated cost £500) from my water bills. Greens want a complete ban on fluoridated water, a warning about the health risks on all sources of fluoride intended for human consumption and a properly resourced strategy for reducing tooth decay, that includes education of children and adults about dental hygiene and the need for a healthy diet. To medicate people without their individual consent is a serious violation of human rights.”
CONSERVATIVE:
Neil Carmichael, Parliamentary candidate for Stroud, said: “My position is that much more research needs be undertaken and... I am sceptical about the effectiveness of consultation processes undertaken by SHAs.”
LABOUR:
David Drew, MP for Stroud said: “I am strongly against water fluoridation, voted against fluoridation of our supplies and am an active member of the All Party group against fluoridation.”
LIBERAL DEMOCRATS:
Lib Dems allowed a free vote on the Water Bill. After it passed Lib Dem MPs pressed, unsuccessfully, for a full consultative process.

Scandalous..................
THE DEAN of the Harvard School of Dentistry, Chester Douglass, said in written testimony to the National Research Council that he found no evidence that fluoridation increased risk of osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. However, in a 2001 study which he cited, and oversaw, it was found that boys who drink fluoridated water have a greater risk of developing osteosarcoma. In response eleven EPA employee unions representing over 7000 US environmental and public health professionals have called for a moratorium on drinking water
fluoridation programs and have asked EPA management to recognize fluoride as posing a serious risk of causing cancer in people.

Fluoridation proposals in Hampshire
By Philip Booth in Stroud
"Letter to local press in Hampshire:
With the dawn of a New Year it is worth examining the latest fluoride science. Whilst health authorities in Hampshire/IoW continue the inexorable movement towards adding fluoride to our water, scientists worldwide have been demonstrating how dangerous this is. The US National Research Council (NRC) in March 2006 published an extremely damaging report on fluoride in water. Dr Hardy Limeback, who was on the NRC Panel said, "In my opinion, the evidence that fluoridation is more harmful than beneficial is now overwhelming and policy makers who avoid thoroughly reviewing recent data before introducing new fluoridation schemes do so at risk of future litigation." And Dr Paul Connett says: “The crucial message of this report is that the highest scientific authority in the US has determined that low levels of fluoride in drinking water may have serious adverse health effects."In April 2006a Harvard Study linking fluoridation with a 5-fold increased risk of osteosarcoma (bone cancer) in boys was published in the peer-reviewed journal Cancer, Causes & Control. Those who still fluoridate are now expected to face multi-million dollar lawsuits in the USA for causing illness, disability and even deaths.Countries worldwide, including Europe, have banned fluoridation on medical and scientific grounds. When will our local health and water authorities wake up to the dangers of fluoride in water and stop this ridiculous move to pollute our water with this highly dangerous toxin?

This is complete madness - the American Dental Association have advised parents not to give infants fluoridated water in their formula or food. It was also only 4 years ago when research showed that bottle-feeding infants were receiving unsafe levels of fluoride in Ireland:

Dangers of fluoridated water admitted in USA
On November 9, the American Dental Association (ADA) finally admitted that fluoride levels in common tap water could be dangerous for infants. The ADA recommended that fluoridated water should not be mixed into concentrated formula or foods intended for babies. The ADA's announcement comes on the heels of a National Research Council report that revealed fluoridation's adverse effects to the thyroid gland, diabetics, kidney patients, high water drinkers and others. The Centers for Disease Control has added to the debate with a new report showing that fluoride absorbs into enamel topically. However, adverse effects occur upon ingestion.Learn more:

Meanwhile the battle is slowly being won - fluoride will now no longer be added to Del Rio’s drinking water. The Del Rio City Council in the States made that decision in September after a presentation by John Morony, a retired college biology professor, who characterized fluoride as a poison and showed the council numerous research references that link fluoride to higher rates of cancer and other health hazards.
